BLOGSCAN - "Payola" for Vermont Physicians
A post on the Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry blog summarizes the latest data from Vermont on the financial relationships between pharmaceutical companies and physicians in the state. The physicians who got the most money, or what the blogger dubbed "payola," from drug companies were psychiatrists, and then endocrinologists. A study of the relationships among such payments and Vermont physicians' prescribing practices is pending.
