BLOGSCAN - the Avastatin/ Lucentis Controversy
On the Hooked: Ethics, Medicine, and Pharma blog, Howard Brody discussed the Avastatin-Lucentis controversy, concluding with an integrity award to the opthamologists who pushed to use tiny doses of Avastatin to treat macular degeneration, and resisted the marketing of similar but very expensive Lucentis for the same problem. Meanwhile, on the Health Business Blog, David Williams interviewed a Genentech spokesperson.
