BLOGSCAN - On the APAs "Long Traditions and Established Practices"
On Alison Bass' blog, this post discussed the ongoing US Senate probe of, among other things, the American Psychiatric Association's relationships with pharmaceutical companies. In a memo to its members, APA President Nada Stotland, seemed more concerned about the questioning of "long traditions and established practices" than about whether the questions were valid. In a final twist, although the APA publicized the existence of the memo, its content is not available to the general public.
Hope his voice of moderation gives justice to the victim of a medical error.
