BLOGSCAN - How Often to Pharmaceutical Sponsored Speakers Speak?
On Question Authority with Dr Peter Rost, this post provides some anecdotal evidence about just how often academic physicians give talks sponsored by pharmaceutical companies. The top three speakers on behalf of AstraZeneca's Casodex (bicalutamide, for prostate cancer) gave 68, 22, and 19 talks respectively to market just that one drug in 2006.
