Texas Sues Merck for Defrauding Medicaid

The Associated Press reported that the state of Texas is suing Merck for Medicaid fraud involving its marketing of Vioxx to Medicaid patients. State Attorney General Greg Abbott claimed, "this is a prime example of a company's drive for profits steamrolling its duty to be safe."
