BLOGSCAN - Pharmaceutical Marketing and Physicians
A press release for a new study about pharmaceutical company marketing said, "When it comes to giving samples and writing prescriptions, doctors are swayed by science -- not by cozy relationships between themselves and pharmaceutical marketing reps or by advertising aimed at patients, new research shows." Dr Howard Brody, writing on the Hooked: Ethics, Medicine and Pharma blog, looked at the study, and came to some different conclusions.
