On the Carlat Psychiatry Blog, Dr Daniel Carlat argues how porous is the firewall between commercial medical education and communication companies (MECCs) and commercial continuing medical education (CME) providers.

You need to check your facts Sryker was NOT under the deferred prosecution agreement. They stood alone among the four largest companies and were not fined. Their disclosure agreement was voluntary. Please correct your blog site asap.

Hmmm, I don't think this comment has anything to do with this post.

But even there, the last paragraph of the first blockquote makes the point clear that Stryker Orthopedics was "not subject to criminal charges." And I believe all subsequent posts I have made about the topic make that distinction. (Although if any didn't, I'd be happy to add it.)
